According to the Washington Times’ Amanda Comak via twitter, the Nationals have re-signed left-hander Zach Duke.
An All-Star in 2009 with the Pirates, the now-29-year-old played the majority of the 2012 season for Triple-A Syracuse. In eight major-league appearances for the Nationals last season, he compiled a 1.32 earned run average over 13 2/3 innings.
