My question concerns last weeks rumored trade i.e.Lester for Wil Myers. I can understand the trade from Boston’s perspective, but why would KC want to make this trade. They give away
their top prospect, one of the tops in MLB, to get a pitcher for one year (I think Lester’s 2014 option goes away in a trade?) Would not Clay Buccholz make more sense for KC?

So does the signing of  Victorino signal that the sox are likely to trade Ellsbury – perhaps later in the year  – in a package deal for a starting pitcher?
