Red Sox lineup: Daniel Nava gets a day off, Jarrod Saltalamacchia hits fifth

04.15.13 at 8:56 am ET

With Rays right-hander Jeremy Hellickson on the hill, Red Sox outfielder Daniel Nava will have his first day off in seven games. Nava is 1-for-7 with a walk against Hellickson. He’ll sit in favor of Jonny Gomes, who gets his first start of the year against a right-handed pitcher. Gomes is 1-for-3 with a  homer against Hellickson.

With Nava sitting, the Red Sox have juggled their lineup a bit. Jarrod Saltalamacchia will hit fifth, owing, perhaps, in part to his strong career numbers against the Rays starter (.278/.381/.556 with a homer and two doubles).
