Here is what happened in the Red Sox farm system on Wednesday:

TRIPLE-A PAWTUCKET RED SOX (15-20): L, 9-8 at Scranton W/B

— The PawSox lost late to Scranton after giving up three runs in the eighth inning. Brock Holt continued his rehab assignment and played the entire game as the designated hitter. He finished with a walk and a run scored.

— Sam Travis led the offense with a walk, a stolen base, a home run, three runs and three RBI. This was his 12th multi-hit game of the season. Rusney Castillo also had a good night offensively. He went 2-for-5 with a run and two RBI. He tied the game at two in the third with his fourth home run of the season.

— Shawn Haviland got the start for Pawtucket and gave up five earned runs, 11 hits and a walk in six innings. Noe Ramirez got the loss and blown save after giving up a run and a hit in the eighth.

DOUBLE-A PORTLAND SEA DOGS (18-16): L, 13-8 vs. Hartford

— The Sea Dogs allowed all 13 of Hartford’s runs in the first three innings.

— Travis Lakins got the loss in his Double-A debut after giving up five earned runs and five hits in just 1 2/3 innings. He threw 39 pitches in the second inning before getting the hook.

— Josh Tobias had three RBI for Portland and Jake DePew reached base four times. Cole Sturgeon, Danny Mars and Joseph Monge each had two hits, while Rafael Devers hit a single in the fifth inning to extend his on-base streak to 18 games.

HIGH-A SALEM RED SOX (24-15): L, 5-2 vs Frederick

— Despite a late comeback attempt, Salem fell to Frederick after falling behind early. The Red Sox began their scoring in the fifth on a Chad De La Guerra single and a hard Michael Chavis ground ball, which drove in a run. Josh Ockimey then singled to score Chavis.

— This offense wasn’t enough, however, as Salem starter Roniel Raudes gave up four runs on eight hits in five innings before Austin Glorius came in to relieve him and gave up another run in his three innings.

SINGLE-A GREENVILLE DRIVE (24-13): L, 6-5  at Lakewood

— Greenville lost on a two-run walkoff double in the ninth to Lakewood. The Drive’s Stephen Nogosek got the loss after giving up that double. Kyle Hart started the game and gave up two runs and two hits and struck out five in his five innings.

— Greenville had a 4-0 lead after the top of the fifth courtesy of a Santiago Espinal third inning single and a double in the fifth. Jerry Downs hit an RBI single in the fourth and Tyler Hill had one of his own in the fifth.
